The Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council (CTHRC) and the Nova Scotia Tourism Human Resource Council (NSTHRC) were pleased to announce that the Cambridge Suites Hotel Sydney has been awarded the employee-rated Employer of Choice designation.
The Cambridge Suites Sydney offers a welcoming home base for guests who visit Sydney for business or pleasure. Sharing a strong HR ethic, the hotel’s management strongly believes that professional development opportunities attract outstanding candidates and facilitates the retention of superlative staff.
“We believe our employees are our most important asset and we are very excited to receive the EOC designation,” said Cathy Burt, Human Resources Manager, Cambridge Suites Hotels. “I recommend this process to any other establishment interested in earning EOC designation.”
The hotel actively supports the national emerit certification program, certifying 85% of their staff since 2005. “We now have employees asking to participate in the certification process when they see that it represents a personal achievement and valuable industry recognition,” said Ms. Burt.
