Employer of Choice Program > EOC Framework
EOC Framework

The Employer of Choice Program is based on results derived from an online assessment tool that assesses employers against established employee satisfaction standards in today’s workplace. Company employees and managers complete the online questionnaires and rate their employer based on nine criteria. The evaluation is quick, easy and provides a basis for improvement in the areas of attraction, retention and employee development. Employer of Choice Assessment Responses generate a report that rates the company on its overall performance and provides specific ratings for each of the nine criteria within four human resource Factors that include JOIN, STAY, PERFORM and ADAPT. Each Factor within the HR management cycle is assessed on nine Elements or areas of activity that include:
-
Strategic Leadership
-
Frontline Management
-
Workplace Culture
-
Work-Life Balance
-
Compensation and Benefits
-
Job/Work Design and Structure
-
Learning and Development
-
Workplace Diversity
-
General
Employers are rated on a scale of 1 to 5, with one being the lowest (defined as Entry-Level) and five being the highest (defined as Employer of Choice). By measuring the quality of response to each Factor in relation to these nine Elements, the level at which an employer is performing is determined. “Gaps” between the perceptions of employees and managers are also identified, and specific tools and resources are recommended to help the employer improve in each area.
